Factoring Quadratic Trinomials Puzzle Activity –

This Factoring Trinomials activity is an engaging way for your algebra 2 and precalculus students to practice factorizing trinomials with a selection of questions where a=1 and where a>1.

There is an additional sheet to the puzzle so that students must match their factors with sports words. This means students cannot take a shortcut to solve the puzzle by reversing the process and multiplying out the binomial solutions.

Students cut out the shapes in the printout and put them together by matching questions and answers on corresponding sides to create the shape in the given solution. There are 18 questions to match with their corresponding answers on the puzzle pieces.
