This is a ‘completing the square’ practice bingo game on solving quadratic equations.
Problems are displayed from the resources PowerPoint. There is a range of differentiated questions and the sequence of slides can be rearranged to your preference.
The game is a great way to have students practice solving quadratic equations by completing the square; students enjoy the pace and competition that the bingo game naturally generates. The quiz includes pdf bingo cards sheet with printable bingo cards to cover classes of up to thirty-six.
It is also possible to play this completing the square quiz without printing the bingo sheets; students can create their own answer sheet and select problems from the included ppt answer sheet.
How to play this completing the square game
Questions from the ppt are displayed on the board. Students draw a line through any matching answers on their answer card.
If a student matches all their answers they must be the first to call out ‘bingo!’ to win the game.
A reward can be given for extra motivation!
